MUSIC & SOUND DESIGNER

Gerardo Perez Giusti is a Composer, Audio Post Production Mixer and Sound Designer with over a decade of experience in film and network television. Originally from Venezuela, Gerardo received a BA in Film Scoring and Music Composition from the Berklee College of Music and a Master of Music in Composition from Yale. At Yale, Gerardo was a student of the American composers Ezra Laderman and Pulitzer Prize winner Joseph Schwantner. Gerardo also graduated with honors from the Boston University School of Law and practiced law as a derivatives attorney for several years before returning to his original passion for music and sound.
Currently, Gerardo lives in Los Angeles, where in addition to being an active Film Composer and Music Producer he has developed his love for sound and technology into an extensive career as a post production Audio Engineer and Sound Designer. Gerardo’s experience in this field includes working as a Sound Designer for the NBC Universal family of networks, supervising the post production audio in several promotional campaigns for Mun2 TV and NBC Universo, and creating the original soundscapes for promos that received multiple Promax DBA nominations and awards.
As a Composer and Music Producer, Gerardo has been responsible for the original music, musical arrangements and soundtrack recordings of feature films, TV series, web media productions and multiple commercials. Highlight credits include Seven Pounds, Bravetown, Hands of Stone, The Duel, Satanas (orchestrator, conductor), Chamaco (additional music) and Escobar: Countdown to Death (Fusion TV) La Sombrilla (TNT Latin America), Losing Sam, Encuere, By The Water's Edge, Notes From the New World, Thoughts, Mind The Gap, Red Monday, La Vida No Es Igual, The Long Walk, Doppelganger, Till Death Does Us Part, The Ringing, Divergence, Walker and the award winning horror film Luna (composer). Gerardo also composed the music for the official presentations at the Promax DBA 2016 Awards in New York City.
