PRODUCER/DIRECTOR
Alexander Berezovsky is a Ukrainian-born producer - director, who is known for his work on Noesis (2007), All American Zombie Drugs (2010), Writer's Block (2011) and Enchanting the Mortals.
He was born in 1982, in Kiev, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union (now in Ukraine). At the age of 11, in 1993, Alex emigrated with his parents from Kiev to Los Angeles where he continued his schooling and adult life.
He received a Bachelors of Arts in Film and Visual Culture from University of California, Riverside. In addition to the film degree, he has taken various courses in the theater arts to be well rounded in many aspects of the Film, Television and Theater production. Much of what he has learned outside of school came from self-reading and hands on experience.
One of the most unique experiences came from working in the development office of Hugh Jackman in 2006. During that time Alex was exposed to the highest levels of professionalism in the industry allowing him to pick projects carefully, with regards to creativity and business in mind.
Alex made his first professional short film at the age of 24. Doing everything from start to finish, his short film was accepted and nominated as in the category of best short film at many festivals around the world.
Throughout the years Alex has been in front and behind the camera getting experience above and below the line. His passion lies in working with people in the film-making industry, whether it is in directing, organization, and managing or picking projects.
Having traveled extensively, Alex has a unique view of the world and a critical eye for the projects he chooses to work on. Having business experience he understands the balance between art and commercial viability.
Alex is a resilient, multi-talented, rebellious and risk-taking person.
He currently resides in Los Angeles with his family.
